Data Deletion
Last updated: 2026-11-01
You can remove Heraldly’s access to your social accounts and delete your data at any time. This page explains each option and how long it takes. The details are in our Privacy Policy.
In short:
- Disconnecting an account stops all access immediately.
- Deleting your account erases your content, media and statistics within 30 days.
- Posts already published stay on the social network: delete them there.
1. Disconnect a social account
In Heraldly, open Settings → Accounts, choose the account and click Disconnect.
- Its access token is deleted immediately, and nothing more can be published to it or read from it.
- Posts scheduled for that account are moved back to drafts.
- You choose whether to keep the statistics already collected or delete them. YouTube statistics are always deleted, within 7 days, as required by YouTube’s policies.
2. Revoke access from the social network
You can also remove Heraldly directly from the network’s settings, without signing in to Heraldly:
| Network | Where |
|---|---|
| Facebook and Instagram | Facebook Settings → Apps and websites → Heraldly → Remove |
| YouTube (Google) | Google security settings → Heraldly → Remove access |
| TikTok | TikTok Settings and privacy → Security → Manage app permissions → Heraldly → Remove |
| LinkedIn Settings → Data privacy → Permitted services → Heraldly → Remove |
Heraldly then loses access. Data obtained from a YouTube channel is deleted within 30 days of a revocation made from Google’s settings. When Facebook notifies us that you removed the app, we delete the data obtained from your Facebook and Instagram accounts within 30 days.
3. Delete an organization
Owners can delete an organization from Settings → Organization → Delete organization. Its connected accounts, posts, media, campaigns, statistics and short links are deleted within 30 days, backups included. Its short links stop redirecting.
4. Delete your Heraldly account
Open Settings → Account → Delete account. We:
- anonymize your name and email address;
- delete and, where the network allows it, revoke every access token;
- delete the organizations you own, with their content, media, statistics and short links, within 30 days (backups included);
- remove you from the organizations owned by others (the posts you wrote there remain theirs).
Cancel your subscription first if you have one; Paddle keeps the billing records required by law.
5. Ask us by email
If you cannot sign in, or want us to do it for you, write to privacy@heraldlyapp.com from the email address of your account, with the subject “Data deletion request”. Tell us which accounts or organizations are concerned. We confirm receipt within 5 business days, give you a reference number to follow the request, and complete it within 30 days.
6. What we cannot delete
- Posts already published on LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram or TikTok: they belong to your account on that network. Delete them there.
- Billing records held by Paddle, our Merchant of Record, for the period required by tax law.
